Field Study #3
πππππ
It was such a beautiful day out when I did my 3rd Field Study. The leaves have started to change colors, and it wasn't too cold, I also saw so many animals. A couple of changes include; the obvious changing of colors, the increase in numbers of squirrels, and the decrease in numbers of toads. For the past couple of months there have been so many toads all over my backyard, but they seem to finally be leaving. However, as my dog keeps reminding me, there are plenty of squirrels to take their place. I did a sketch during this visit and while I was sitting down to do that, a ton of squirrels were running around in the trees above me. I narrowly avoided being hit in the head by acorns on more than one occasion.

Organisms I noticed were:
Trees: Many different kinds all over the place, nothing new with them expect they've started changing colors.
Plants: Lots and lots of plants, tons of different kinds too.
Deer: While I was doing a sketch, I actually saw a couple deer. I was holding pretty still and I don't think that they really noticed me.
Squirrels: There were also a ton of squirrels. I have been seeing so many squirrels lately, not only in my backyard but all around my neighborhood. There were SOOO many. I did get a picture of some, but it is too blurry to include in this post.
A sketch I did and a picture of where it was from(I also labeled where I saw a deer while I was drawing):
My Same Spot Picture:
Temperature: 57
Date + Time: 6:00 on Tuesday, October 11
Present Climate Conditions: There has been lots of rain recently but this day was quite sunny.
Length of day: 11 hours, 27 minutes
Awe and Stewardship: Fall always reminds me how beautiful nature is. Even when they are dying, the trees still find a way to be gorgeous. I hope that I am always in awe of God's creation.

EXCELLENT WORK! Beautiful pics. Well organized. Great observations. Watch for the patterns in color change/leaf fall as you continue.
